ALLISON CAMENZULI - entrepreneur, designer, collaborator, artist, marketer, technical advisor and business consultant.
I am a long time northerner and have had the honour of working and living in both the Northwest Territories and Yukon starting in Yellowknife 1998 and moving to Mount Lorne in 2015. I have been working with a wide range of businesses, organizations and governments in the areas of brand, digital development, marketing and communications.
For over 20 years I have had the privilege of building, consulting on and managing brands such as the Mackenzie Valley Environmental Review Board, Northwestel, Spectacular Northwest Territories Tourism, BHP Billiton, Gwich'in Development Corporation, Nunavut Development Corporation, Yukon Hospitals, Air North, Yukon's Airline and many others.
Tourism is a special niche for me as I've owned and operated a wilderness lodge, Gray Ridge Lodge with my husband. I've sat on many boards, Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce, Yellowknife Chamber of Commerce and the Yukon Strategic Marketing Advisory Committee and have been involved in this important industry. Now I am supporting the Wilderness Tourism Association of the Yukon as their contracted Executive Director. If tourisms your game, I'm always happy to connect.
Indigenous brands and design, is another area that is very near to my heart. I rely on true collaboration with indigenous artists and creators to help develop authentic works that can speak to their people. I am a cultural explorer and I am privileged to have worked with so many indigenous cultures and travelled to so many of the far northern communities across all three territories.
My lived experience has been my grandfather, a Saugeen First Nation from Northern Ontario, Eastern Lake Huron. He experience full separation from his culture and family through residential school, then at age 18 moving on to the Canadian Navy. He lost his family, people and his culture. We are still trying to piece together his story today after his passing.
Call 867-446-9960 to set up a meeting. Let's grab a coffee or tea in person or virtually and see how I can help.
